For four decades, the familiar green and gold kangaroo has helped Australians recognise products made here at home. For us, the anniversary is also an opportunity to celebrate Australian manufacturing within the lighting industry and the products that continue that tradition today.
As an Australian-owned family business, we’re proud to celebrate the milestone and to have our own Australian Made products carrying the logo, including our versatile MAXI Series.
The story of the Australian Made logo dates back to 1986, when the now-familiar green and gold kangaroo was introduced as part of a campaign encouraging Australians to support locally made products.
Over the following 40 years, the logo has grown into a widely recognised symbol that helps consumers identify products with genuine Australian credentials.
While Australian manufacturing has changed considerably since 1986, the idea behind the logo remains just as relevant – making it easier to recognise and support products manufactured here in Australia.
For businesses like ours, Australian Made is also about celebrating the skills, ideas and manufacturing capabilities that exist locally.
