Sitting quietly in the heart of Gladesville, The Glade is a high class residential development designed for affordable high quality residential living. We’re proud to say Domus Lighting was selected to supply the complete lighting specification across the entire development from the carpark to the penthouse.
With DA approval for 21 oversized apartments and a corner retail lot, it was clear from the outset that this project required lighting solutions that were both functional and tailored in execution.

In the bathrooms, our Jade Pendants were used to reduce glare and hash shadows on the face when using the mirror to the left. At the same time, it creates a focused illumination over the sink where additional clear lighting is required. It also serves as a source of visual interest, adding shape to the bathroom without clashing with the colours or taking up any floorspace.

Utilising True Dottless Technology, our Plex COB LED Strip was also employed as both under cabinet and integrated backlighting. This creates the visual clarity in needed in a kitchen, while also providing indirect lighting that softens the space, particularly in the evenings. The PLEX’s uniform output and flexible design made it the right choice for tight joinery and concealed cavities.
A modern multi-res development also needs to meet strict compliance standards and deliver long-term operational reliability. For that, our Domus Escape Emergency range was deployed across the building.
In the basement, our Parks Batten lights were installed to ensure visibility, durability, and ease of maintenance. Designed for environments that demand performance over polish, these battens provide dependable illumination in a space that too often becomes an afterthought.
Projects like The Glade remind us why integrated lighting design matters. It’s about understanding space, flow, human behavior, and about crafting environments that are as enjoyable to live in as they are to look at.
