As you drive into the Porsche Service Centre you are met with a brightly lit lobby. Three rows of lights adorn the ceiling, making it seem like you never entered a building and are still outside. What looks like LED strip are actually recessed MAXI lights. Part of a very customisable series, these fixtures are featured throughout the building in not only its recessed form, but also its pendant form.

At the front of the service centre is a reception / showroom featuring some stylish Porsche vehicles. In this area the MAXI pendants are on full display. This custom pendant has been cut to size and arranged in a way to create a rectangular pendant to help highlight the vehicles on display.

The service area is full of car bays as well as wide pathways to drive the cars through. This needs to be brightly lit at all times for two main reasons: first is so there is a clear view of where you are going and secondly is to make sure there are no debris on the pathways such as screws and other sharp objects that may damage tyres.

With the MAXI series, we were able to provide light twice as bright as was needed, making an enclosed garage seem like it was out in broad daylight. MAXI pendants line the pathways throughout the garage and service centre, allowing good visibility for the service workers moving the vehicles.

The service area workstations needed to be as brightly lit as possible to be able to perform work on many vehicles. It was important to have a bright environment to be able to see every minor imperfection, every dropped screw and parts, as well as making sure everything is up to standard for these vehicles.

The MAXI pendants spread throughout the workstations are the only source of light in this area, highlighting just how powerful and bright this series really is.

This project is a demonstration on what the customisable MAXI Series is capable of in all of its forms.
